Tickets: $25.00*

General seating at the Harris Theater, George Mason University,

Fairfax Campus.

Performance is approximately 2 hours long with intermission

DanceFest 2020 weekend kicks off with an adjudicated Gala Performance featuring member companies of the Virginia Dance Coalition. Three Virginia Dance Coalition scholarships will be presented, and a separate scholarship will be awarded from the Arts Council of Fairfax. The DanceFest Gala is an exciting evening of dance that will introduce you to the diverse companies within our local communities.

Parking at GMU is Free in Lot K and Parking is also available in the GMU Mason Pond Parking Deck for a Fee.

Afternoon Festival Performance

Sunday, February 2nd, 2019 from 5:00-6:00pm

Tickets: $10.00*

General seating at the Harris Theater, George Mason University,

Fairfax Campus.

Performance is approximately 1 hour long with no intermission

The DanceFest Afternoon Festival Performance is a one-hour performance that features local companies and emerging talent from within our community.

Educational Seminars

Workshop Educational Seminars are designed specifically for the dancer, their parents and instructors, conducted by:

Body Dynamics Inc.

Presents Dancer Wellness; a seminar on the overall health and well-being of a dancer with tips on dancer injuries, with focus on hip recovery.

Susan Shields - Director of George Mason School of Dance

Presents The Career Path in Dance; a seminar on being prepared to enter a college university dance program and the many career paths available to dancers. Seminar will cover everything from entering a college university dance program to the vast array of career opportunities available to a dancer after graduating from a college university dance program. This discussion will be followed by a short Question & Answer with Susan Shields.
